In the spring of 2026, a new service residence for people with mental disabilities will open. The operation will provide a safe and supportive living environment where tenants receive individually tailored support in their daily lives, with the goal of strengthening independence and participation. The residence will be staffed around the clock and is based on a rehabilitative and recovery-oriented approach.

The apartments within the service residence are integrated into regular apartment buildings. Each tenant has their own apartment and access to common social areas intended for social interaction and planned activities. The service residence will be able to accommodate approximately ten clients. We are now looking for seven employees for our new operation. We are recruiting for day, evening, weekend, and night shifts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The work as a caregiver is based on national guidelines and evidence-based methods that are appropriate for the target group and the operation. The work is conducted from a health-promoting, habilitative, and rehabilitative approach.

• As a caregiver, you are responsible for providing support, service, care, and supervision based on each client's individual needs.
• You assist with communication, making life understandable and safe, and planning for the future.
• Your tasks include enabling individuals to participate in cultural and recreational activities, both as activities on their own and in agreement with others.
• Accompaniment, for example, to health centers, hospitals, foot care, hairdressers, shopping, or other activities is included.
• The work involves collaboration with relevant actors around the individual, such as guardians, nurses, and other care neighbors.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a secure and relationship-building person and who enjoys working with people with mental disabilities. You have a strong commitment to the target group and thrive in an environment where things develop step by step. With creativity and engagement, you want to help create structure and good working methods.

Formal competencies:

• Education as a nursing assistant with caregiver competence, treatment pedagogue, treatment assistant, social pedagogue, or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position.
• Knowledge about people with mental disabilities and understanding of the consequences this may have in their daily lives.
• At least one year of experience in psychiatric care.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech, writing, and reading comprehension.

Meritorious:

• Experience with documentation, preferably in the operational system Treserva.
• Additional education in psychiatry.
